Shuttle Services

Thank you for considering an adventure on the Sheltowee Trace NRT. The STA, our member chapters, volunteers, and commercial providers are ready to assist you in booking a shuttle for your next visit to the Trace. Chapter and STA volunteers will either accept donations for their service or negotiate with you a set fee. Commercial provider, Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort, will have set fees for service based on distance and number of participants. Requests should be made at a minimum of five days before the need for service to allow our volunteer drivers time to plan accordingly.

The STA and our member chapters will provide shuttle support upon request. Cost should be negotiated with the individual provider. In some cases, we will defer your request to commercial operators in areas where the STA has no coverage.

Travel to the Northern and or Southern Terminus:

There is no direct air or train or bus service to the Northern or Southern Terminus of the Trace. You have several options to fly in to start your hike at the Northern Terminus. Shuttle assistance can be reserved from the Greater Cincinnati -Northern Ky International Airport, the Lexington, Ky airport or the Huntington WV airport. In the south, the nearest airport to the Southern Terminus is Nashville where a shuttle service can take you to the Trace. For bus service, your only option is to take a bus to Lexington and get a shuttle from there to the Northern Terminus. For train service your option is to take the Amtrak to Ashland Ky. and get a shuttle from there to the Northern Terminus. Contact the STA office for details on shuttle providers at 606-308-0625.
